Dogs: Acceptable for carriage if shipper submits evidence that consignee has obtained import license. Plants and Plant Material
Including packing thereof: Health certificate. Import permit from Directorate of plant protection, Nepal or from one of the plant Quarantine and Fumigation Stations. Permit not required for ginned cotton samples weighing 20 lbs. (9.07 kgs.). All imports of live plants and plant material by land, sea or air shall be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate issued by the appropriate authority in the country of origin in the internationally recognized from, indicating that the consignment is free from injurious insects, pests/plant diseases. However, for plants infested with live intended for the introduction of these insects additional certificate from plant protection advisor to government of Nepal or the competent research institute must state purpose of importation.
Arms, ammunition and explosives

If goods are not cleared within 90 days from the date of arrival, the from the customs office, HMG Nepal will have to be taken for the clearance till 180 days. The goods which are not cleared within 180 days from date of arrival can be disposed, giving due public notice by the custom office, HMG.
