In the seven months of the current fiscal year, Nepal has exported nepali cement worth rs 170 million. After the government announced a discount on exports in the budget for the current fiscal year, two Nepali cement industries have announced the production of Nepali brand cement.
According to the data released by the Department of Customs from Mid-July to Mid-January, Nepal exported cement and clinker worth Rs 167.033 million.
The Cement Manufacturers Association has said that the export of cement has started in different cities of India after the government announced a discount on the export of cement. According to the association, there are many cement industries waiting for quality certificate in the export of cement from the Indian government. Nepali cement industry will have to obtain a quality certificate from the Government of India for export to India.
